Description
What Is A Water Pressure Reducing Regulating Valve and How It Works?
A water pressure reducing regulating valve (it is also called a pressure regulator, or PRV) controls the water pressure that comes into the home from the main pipeline. With this valve, it helps to reduce the pressure when the pressure of the main water line exceeds 80PSI.
It is normally installed near the main water shutoff switch. You can start or stop it by using the adjustment screw.
The water pressure reducing valve works under a spring-loaded diaphragm, which will narrow or widen the water flow according to the amount of water pressure entering the valve.
Product Features
>> This pressure reducer valve adopts piston structure, simple internal structure, strong environmental use, durable
>> No bypass pipe is required, and the distribution pipe is simple, which can save a lot of space and distribution cost.
>> There is pressure adjustment knob in the top cover, which can be adjusted free.
>> This product can withstand pressure of 1.2Mpa.
Installation Tips
- Professional plumbers are required for installation
- The pressure reducing valve needs to be installed horizontally
- The water flow direction should be consistent with the arrow’s direction
- If it is connected with PPR pipes, PPR unions are required for installation
