What Is A Air Vent Valve?
Air vent valve is a kind of valve to vent troublesome air from hydronic heating systems. It is commonly used for air release in plumbing heating system and installed at the highest point of the system and is often seen on radiators, manifold and water separators.
There are 2 kinds of air vent valve which one is manual type and another is automatic type. Most of the new buildings use automatic air vent valve. During the water filling process of heating, air will enter the heating pipe. When the air is congested, the heating will be not hot. Therefore, air vent valve should be set to release air and make the heating system circulate smoothly.
A float type automatic air vent valve includes a brass body, safety cover, a polypropylene float, brass valve stem, stainless steel vent wire lever, spring, and EPDM o-rings.

Art No. BJ43005 is equipped with a non-return check valve which facilitates maintenance operations by shutting off the water flow when the air vent is removed. It also makes the replacement more convenient and much easier.
