What Is An Angled Radiator Valve?
- An angled radiator valve is one kind of manual valve that is normally connected to the radiator or towel rail. It is normally connected to the pipes coming from the wall. There is a twisting hand wheel on the top. It can help us to control the heat output of your radiator by limiting the amount of hot water flow.
- A radiator or towel rail will need two valves. One will be fit to inlet pipe, to control the amount of hot water to enter the radiator. The other one will be fit to the return pipe to balance the system by controlling heat output out of the radiator. Sometimes we can call it a ‘lockshield valve’ or return valve.
Where are Angled radiator valves used?
Angled radiator valves are commonly used in heating systems where radiators are installed. They are specifically designed to facilitate the connection and control of hot water flow into the radiator to regulate room temperature effectively. Angled radiator valves are typically installed on the side or at the bottom of the radiator, making them suitable for a variety of applications in different settings, including residential homes, commercial offices, hotels, and other buildings. Their versatility allows for easy installation and maintenance, providing an efficient solution for controlling heating output in various spaces.
Where Is An Angled Radiator Valve Installed?
- It is recommended that the angled radiator valves should be installed on the bottom of the towel rail or radiator where the pipes come into and exit the radiator. Normally they will be fitted at the bottom left and right of the radiator, but sometimes needed to be fitted to the bottom middle of the radiator.
- There are different types of radiator valves, such as angled, corner, straight, and h-block valves. The angled radiator valves are normally installed with the pipes come from the wall, while the straight one are normally installed with the pipes come from the floor. And the H-Block radiator valve should be connected to the radiator with a bottom middle connection.
